  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    At Home
Which household cleaners did you try making? Have you been able to simplify your cleaning routine?

I have always used my own cleaning spray/mixture. My mom taught me 1 gal of water, 1/4 cup of ammonia, 1/4 cup of viniger and 1/8 cup of baking soda. Mix it to dissolve the baking soda, (may foam). Cleans ANY Surface (not for glass).

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
How do you feel about being more involved in the food preparation process? Joyful, overwhelmed, engaged, empowered? What are the benefits of choosing to process or produce your own food instead of buying it pre-processed?

I actually love it!! Taking the raw ingredients and putting them all together to make something good for me and my family is a great feeling. Less waste is also such a huge benefit.

Do some research on polystyrene and polyvinyl. How many items in your house already contain these toxins?

Unfortunately, too many. I'm continually working to remove these plastics, and also avoid purchasing any new plastics.

It's hard to go through a day without using plastic as it's been integrated into every aspect of our lives. It's a journey to find acceptable alternatives or just do without some things we cannot replace.
