Currently, most of the packaging for toothpaste is plastic. What has been your experience using plastic-free toothpaste options? How can you advocate for more alternatives through your purchasing power and influence in community?

I also use toothpaste tabs and LOVE them. No plastic and I end up with a lovely glass jar I can reuse or recycle. My local co-op sells them in bulk and I also buy online other plastic free products from Etee in Canada.

Doing new things everyday! Making hard-boiled eggs instead of buying them preboiled and peeled in a plastic bag. Learned how to make them so they peel easily - poke a hole with a thumb tack, add baking soda to the water, cook for ten minutes then cool in an ice bath, crack 'em everywhere and peel them in the water. They taste a lot better....

We're pretty conscious of this already, and I was glad my score was generally better than most - but we could be doing a lot better without very much effort.
