Here I am again ! Waiting for an appointment with my trusty stainless steel coffee mug! -

I don’t find this everywhere but when I do, it’s my go to beverage!-
Becca David 2/29/2024 7:01 PMHi, Whole Foods carries it. I pocked it up on the road, in Duluth, Mn.
-
H McCrillis 2/29/2024 5:35 PMI have seen these boxes before - but only during disasters, not on store shelves. I’m also curious about where you bought them. -
Katherine Boyce 2/29/2024 7:45 AMInteresting, I've never see these! What is the box made of?

Only 5% of what we send to recycling actually gets recycled???!!!
-
Amy Maas 3/01/2024 3:08 PMNo- it's saying 5% of what was generated was recycled, not what was sent to recycling!

REFLECTION QUESTIONAt Home Make Green CleanersWhich household cleaners did you try making? Have you been able to simplify your cleaning routine?
Becca David 2/23/2024 9:08 PMI make a stain remover that I’ve used for years that’s a solution of blue Dawn dish detergent, hydrogen peroxide and water I honestly can’t tell you that amounts, but it’s a squirt of the first two and fill it up with water to pre-treat organic stains. I learned this when working in an animal hospital years ago, and you never knew what was going to end up on your scrubs seem to do the trick for just about everything and eliminate the need for extra detergent it is a good reuse of a spray or squirt bottle. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Buy Unpackaged ProduceWhy do you think these products have so much plastic packaging? Who is the plastic packaging really serving -- the consumer, the producer, or someone else?
Becca David 2/23/2024 9:03 PMAs far as plastic packaging on produce, I really think it’s serving the distributor. The tighter can be packed into shipping the more the seller is making. -
Becca David 2/23/2024 8:54 PMAn article from Outside online magazine talking about PFA’s in waterproof clothing…

Chris O 2/26/2024 5:48 PMI recently watched a YouTube video showing all the PFAS that are in makeup and it's truly shocking.

Becca David 2/19/2024 6:59 PMToday I carpooled with my neighbor who doesn’t drive on what has become our weekly grocery run. (Or did she carpool with me🧐😁???) Anyway, we gather our tote bags and make our run and it’s as much fun as it is plastic avoiding, energy saving and we manage to have fun bounce creative and potentially world changing ideas off of each other. I highly recommend this activity to anyone reading this. It definitely break up the winter doldrums.-
H McCrillis 2/20/2024 3:06 AMSounds like fun and educational! 🧑🎓🥳

REFLECTION QUESTIONAt Home Plastic-Free Caffeine RoutineHow has removing your single-use plastics impacted your caffeine routine?
Becca David 2/18/2024 11:04 AMI’m definitely more conscientious about taking my travel mug with me. I’ve had no questions or negative feedback about ordering my coffee in my own stainless steel mug! -
Becca David 2/17/2024 6:41 AMHere we go. Happy Saturday! How can you reflect on your recycling efforts today? I found a number seven and it took me by surprise! And the first thing I thought was, how can I reuse this? It will become a paint mixing cup in my art kit. -
Becca David 2/14/2024 3:27 PMI wanted to add this as a response to one of our teammates questions about fashion and swapping and clothing items. There’s a lot of information here and actions that we can take formally and informally- have a look- you can at least see what brands are in support and compliance, and find a lot of statistics to support your own campaigns.
My question to those of you who are more skilled in the political arena is, how do we make this a federal initiative?
