  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    On-the-go
Great job on getting rid of your disposable cup habit! How does it make you feel? Are there any situations where you still struggle to use a reusable mug?

Always feel great when I don't use a disposable cup. Forgetting my mug at times.

      • 28-DAY STREAK
I made the change several years ago and I never looked back. We are saving the planet one cup at a time.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    On-the-go
Can you think of any scenarios where using your own bottle is harder? How can you make sure not to get a disposable bottle in that case?

Forgot your water bottle at home. You could leave an extra, clean bottle at work.

      • 28-DAY STREAK
We use a hydra water bottle when we are riding our ATV. This keeps the water ice cold for several days. (We know this from leaving it in the RZR on the way home from our trips.)
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    On-the-go
What are some of the unexpected benefits of bringing your own lunch?

    Dealla Dones-Rodriguez's avatar
    Dealla Dones-Rodriguez 2/20/2025 11:39 AM
    Healthier and less waste.

    Great-love the incentives!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
How easy or difficult have you found this task? Is there a way you could rearrange your freezer to make this work better?

    Dealla Dones-Rodriguez's avatar
    Dealla Dones-Rodriguez 2/07/2025 8:28 AM
Not as easy, as space is limited in fridge. Re-arranging at times works, and at other times doesn't.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
What are the hardest scenarios for you to avoid using bottled water? How have you been able to avoid purchasing water in these situations?

    Dealla Dones-Rodriguez's avatar
    Dealla Dones-Rodriguez 2/07/2025 8:27 AM
Forgetting a water bottle. Most of time.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Community
What are the benefits of a sharing economy? How has joining a sharing economy change the dynamics you have with the stuff you use and with your friends, family and/or neighbors?

    Dealla Dones-Rodriguez's avatar
    Dealla Dones-Rodriguez 2/07/2025 8:26 AM
Reduce waste and cost for family, friends and the community.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
Why do you think these products have so much plastic packaging? Who is the plastic packaging really serving -- the consumer, the producer, or someone else?

    Dealla Dones-Rodriguez's avatar
    Dealla Dones-Rodriguez 2/07/2025 8:22 AM
To protect perishables. Meant to protect both, but alternatives are needed.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
Do an inventory of your kitchen to see how many single-use plastics you've used in the past. What are some low-waste or reusable alternatives to these commonly used products? What would your impact be if you switched all the single-use products from your inventory to reusable? Are there any items where it would be difficult to avoid plastic waste?

Buying by bulk and not using plastic to bag it, or re-use plastic bags to bag it. Could try to buy in bulk at some stores and co-ops, but co-ops are spendy.
