There are two DVDs documentary that you might want to check out, i.e., Science Kids: Plastic & Chemical Pollution - Oceans & Sea Life in Peril and Plastic Earth. Watch it and then have a great discussion about it.

Thanks for the suggestions! I just watched two other good documentaries- "Ice on Fire" and "The Biggest Little Farm"- they aren't specifically about plastics but both gave me some hope for being able to fix what we've done to the earth so far.

There are many PBS Newshour documentaries regarding the plastic problems you might want to check them out on YouTube. It really helps me to better understand the greatest threats to our environment and health, and the small changes or steps we can all take to eliminate plastic waste from our life.

As a suggestion, "This Book Is Not Garbage," by Isabel Thomas is a good read for you, your family, and/or friends. It has cute illustrations by Alex Paterson about 50 ways to ditch plastic, reduce trash, and save the world!

Today I watched a 79-minutes informative, hard hitting and educational film called "Inside the Garbage of the World Documentary - The Ugly Truth About Plastic Pollution" presented by Philppe & Maxine Carillo. It's about the environmental problem of plastic pollution with emphasizes regarding personal responsibility in this global disaster. Thought you might want to check it out at your local library.

First, you need to care about our environment, and there are so many ways, alternatives or options for us to give up plastic. This challenge has made me more conscious of plastic pollution and making a difference or small changes of giving up plastic in personal care, cleaning products, and zero waste food - cooking, packaging, and storage by instilling the invaluable insights, tips and resources into my daily life or practice.

While I was meeting a friend for lunch in Hastings, I shared the Plastic-Free Challenge home page with her on the different resources available to her if she wants to start challenging herself on ways of giving up plastics and we also checked out the Spiral Natural Foods to purchase beans, herbs, spices, teas, and so forth.

I finally finished reading "How to Give Up Plastic" by Will McCallum. A great read summarizing problem with plastic to giving up plastic on a daily basis from kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, to workplace, etc.; stories of hope and success in a global movement against plastic; and solutions and great tips of changes you can take to reduce plastic.
