    • 11-DAY STREAK
I ran out of plastic wrap yesterday and instead of picking up more at the store, I bought a roll of reusable beeswax wrap and a small Stasher bag to replace the small bags I have been using to bring my snack mix to work in each day. Trying to replace things with more sustainable options as I work my way through what I have on hand. Small steps, right?
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Community
What are the benefits of a sharing economy? How has joining a sharing economy change the dynamics you have with the stuff you use and with your friends, family and/or neighbors?

Our local Buy Nothing group has been a great way to share things that I no longer use, keeping them out of landfills and out of my closets/cupboards. I also leveraged the group to borrow items for our family reunion instead of buying things like beverage dispensers that I would only use once. It's a great resource!

Love my Buy Nothing group!! I am always tempted to post stuff I see people just put our for garbage. How do we make people care? That's my challenge.

Slowly replacing pieces of my wardrobe with natural fibers, especially wool, which I find comfortable as well as practical for my lifestyle. (a black wool tee can go from work to camping!) This week I found on sale a classic wool sweater that will supplement my wardrobe well.
