The hardest thing for me is avoiding plastic at the grocery store. If packaging is unavoidable with what I need, I'll get it in bulk to reduce materials.

    Personal Care
Currently, most of the packaging for toothpaste is plastic. What has been your experience using plastic-free toothpaste options? How can you advocate for more alternatives through your purchasing power and influence in community?

I've tried several options: tooth tabs, powder, recyclable tubes. But I want fluoride. Has anyone had success with a composable/recyclable tooth"paste" with fluoride?

Tare Market sells Un-paste (toothpaste tablets) that have fluoride in them. I didn’t like them quite as much as Huppy (which is fluoride-free, but has nano-hydroxyapatite), but they would have the fluoride you’re looking for. I’ve also considered trying Bite toothpaste tabs and they offer a version with fluoride.

Over the years I've made many lifestyle changes to minimize my impact on the planet. I'll repair before repurchasing, buy secondhand before new, and limit packaging as much as possible. I can always improve and am looking forward to learning even more!
