Patrick Hare 2/21/2024 4:55 AMWith Lis making bread daily now, we are saving plastic bags to store her sourdough loaves. We also invented in resealable bags, which are great in theory, but have failed. When we have used the resealable bags, the bread is hard and dry the following day.-
Laurie Kilfoy 2/21/2024 2:03 PMIt’s a work in progress. Same here.

Patrick Hare 2/18/2024 4:34 PMThankfully there are a few filling stations around town for our water jugs. -
Patrick Hare 2/15/2024 2:09 PMI change the oil in our vehicles and use empty laundry detergent bins for the used oil. Then I take to our local salvage yard and the used oil is the fuel to run the shop boiler/heater. -
Patrick Hare 2/14/2024 3:35 PMWith six people in the house including 4 young men, we noticed many, many plastic body wash bottles. We made the choice to source bar soaps from local markets and small businesses rather than continuing buying more plastic bottles.-
Laurie Kilfoy 2/25/2024 8:35 PMGood job!
We started using bar soap again. Still have a couple plastic lap bottles, but lessening these. Little by little.

Just wash out and reuse.-
Patrick Hare 2/17/2024 4:46 AMWe found these at ikea. -
Emily Labo 2/13/2024 11:42 AMVery cool! Where did you purchase these? I will have to look into this. I have a bad habit of using single use plastic Ziploc bags and this has inspired me to seek out some reusable ones!

Patrick Hare 2/12/2024 1:03 PMWe have reusable bags around the house and in our cars. These are great to fill with our recycling and run out to the bin. Also are terrific when grocery shopping and then we don’t use 75 hundred plastic Walmart bags at checkout.-
H McCrillis 2/13/2024 1:48 AMHooray!😃

Patrick Hare 2/09/2024 8:20 PMThe recycling bag for our daily chore -
Patrick Hare 2/09/2024 4:25 PMWe have a daily chore at our house to empty the “recycling bag” and bring the recycleables to the bin -
Patrick Hare 2/08/2024 12:05 PMAs a family with 4 boys, we were going through 4-5 packs of bottled water every week. This amounted to 160 - 200 plastic bottles EVERY WEEK. After some consideration, Lis found us a water dispenser in place of bottles. Now we go through about 4 of the 5 gallon refills each week. Same amount of water (40 x 16ou = 640 ounces; 5 gallon refill =640 ounces), and we have ended 160 - 200 plastic bottles every week to the bin.
