REDUCE MY MILES DRIVEN
I will cut down the miles I drive to reduce microplastic shedding from tires. Alternatives include riding public transit, walking, biking, carpooling and combining trips.
On-the-go
Use reusable to-go containers
I will use a restaurant's deposit system for reusable cups and/or takeout containers or I will bring my own reusable container to take home leftovers.
Plastics 101
Avoid Harmful Plastics
I will avoid buying toxic plastics, including polyvinyl, polystyrene and polycarbonate (#3,#6 and #7).

REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal CareCurrently, most of the packaging for toothpaste is plastic. What has been your experience using plastic-free toothpaste options? How can you advocate for more alternatives through your purchasing power and influence in community?
Sharon Kephart 2/07/2026 8:18 PMA little difficult trying to find a fluoride free for sensitive teeth toothpaste in something other than plastic. So I contacted a brand that has alternative packaging and made a suggestion. -
