Jordan's actions
Food
Stop Buying Water
I will stop buying water and instead use water from the tap or invest in a water filter if water quality is a concern.
Pets
Clean Up Pet Hair with Reusables
I will use a reusable lint brush or vacuum to remove pet hair from clothes, carpets, and furniture.
At Home
REUSE TRASH BAGS BEFORE PURCHASING NEW
I will reuse existing bags such as pet food bags, grocery bags, or online shopping bags to line my trash bins (or go without plastic liners) and offset using as many new bags as possible.
Food
Ditch the plastic baggies or wrap
I will ditch zippered plastic bags and/or plastic wrap and switch to reusable containers or wrap for food storage.
Plastics 101
Know the Numbers
The numbers #1-7 on plastics tell us a lot and can help us be better recyclers. I will learn more about what the symbols on plastics mean.

Jordan Kriegl 1/19/2026 11:26 AMSo far I've been doing well with my actions, this week I added that I'd be reusing trash bags before throwing them out for example using a target bag as my bathroom trash bag. This should not only help with the environment but also saves me money on trash bags -
Jordan Kriegl 1/15/2026 1:22 PMHi everyone! I'm excited to help make a positive impact on the environment with you all this semester. This week I'm going to work on making sure to use reusable bags, and bring my water bottle everywhere with me so I don't have to buy plastic water bottles.-
Mackenzie Theisen 1/15/2026 3:05 PMI literally always forget to bring my reusable bags when I go to the store! I think I should start keeping them in the car so they're always available!
