  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
How do you feel about being more involved in the food preparation process? Joyful, overwhelmed, engaged, empowered? What are the benefits of choosing to process or produce your own food instead of buying it pre-processed?

    • 14-DAY STREAK
Home cooked meals lead to trying new recipes. The food is fresh, and purchase is more intentional. There is joy in preparation, and one feels more empowered with what food is getting into their body.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Community
What are the benefits of a sharing economy? How has joining a sharing economy change the dynamics you have with the stuff you use and with your friends, family and/or neighbors?

    • 14-DAY STREAK
A sharing economy helps one realize that one doesn't need so many clothes, and kitchen utensils too. Had a donation box for church (supporting the homeless ministry), and the thrift store. There is less clutter in the process.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Kids
How did conversations with your family about reducing plastic use go? What common values or motivations do you have to take action together?

Had conversation with my daughter on the importance of reducing plastic waste and using glass containers for food; packing home cooked meals in a reusable lunch box. We have reduced the amount of waste substantially - we watched the story of plastic together that helped move this conversation forward.
