Yeah, the ones I found at Free the Ocean are just for closing the end of the plastic wrappers. 😕

Pass it on! I have heard the beeswax wraps are an alternative. Purchasing cheese without plastic is more of a challenge!

Much of the challenge involves things I already do, but I keep finding more to improve upon.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Plastics 101
What did you find out about your plastic consumption by using the calculator? What did or didn't surprise you?

I know that after recycling and composting organics, the bulk of my trash is still plastic that is not reusable or recyclable. Much of this is food packaging. I look for foods not packaged in plastics, but the options are few.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
How easy or difficult have you found this task? Is there a way you could rearrange your freezer to make this work better?

This is not that difficult. I regularly use plastic or glass storage containers. I f I do use plastic (e.g., zip-loc type bags), I wash and reuse them.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    At Home
How difficult (or easy!) has it been for you to cut dryer sheets from your laundry routine?
