I feel like I need to watch my plastic consumption a bit more... I dont think Ive taken it really into consideration when packing snacks, lunch, just every day things, 365 days a year... wow!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Kids
How are you able teach your child about sharing toys? Are they okay with letting them live on with other famililes?

Separating the toys that our children aged out of was probably the easier part and then when they see new to them toys gifted from family members or their cousins, it makes it easier to donate or give away
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Kids
How did conversations with your family about reducing plastic use go? What common values or motivations do you have to take action together?

The talks went well, to a child they dont really understand the impact it has but if we all practice reduction together, it can become the norm for their every day lives
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How does it feel to have a more or less minimalist baby? Do you feel pressure to have specialty items?

Actually not all that bad - my wife's family is quite large so there are many hand-me-downs that our first and now our second get to use when it comes to toys and clothing.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What has been your experience with switching to a plastic-free razor? Was there ever really a need for disposable razors?

disposable razors can be nice to have for traveling but at home, the steel razors are nice, a bit more expensive but certainly can last longer. electric razors are very affordable these days.

It was one of the more warmer weekends where we took the opportunity to get some fresh air into the house. At the same time figured we'd run some lines and it was fun for the kids

Its amazing just how much plastic is in our lives and Im excited to look into these challenges. This caught my eye after reading an article of how over the lifetime of many individuals, someone can accumulate plastic in their bodies that nearly amounts to the size/weight of a credit card....
