Ann Schley 2/07/2025 7:42 PMI am out of cheese. Where can I buy cheese wrapped in wax or something other than plastic?-
Jill Trei 2/11/2025 1:11 PMI haven't tried this myself yet (if you have please report back!) - i have heard that food co-ops (like Eastside) will support you bringing your own container from home and asking the cheese counter to put cheese directly into it to avoid the plastic wrap. -

great question! maybe we should ask our grocers for plastic-free options when we are shopping so they know we want it. -

yeah i feel that. it's hard to be pristine/perfect with this and not possible anyway. and that's a good point that you can minimize the impact even when getting plastic (like skipping the bag). thanks

-
Ann Schley 2/01/2025 11:21 AMGood. I avoided take out today after my workout knowing that it would likely involve plastic use. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPlastics 101What did you find out about your plastic consumption by using the calculator? What did or didn't surprise you?

Ann Schley 1/22/2025 6:54 PMI joined to learn what other steps I can take to reduce plastics. For years I have not accepted plastic bags, but my recycling bin stills fills every 4-6 weeks. What more can I do?-

Well, since you’re auditing and measuring your footprint, I’m sadly unsure what else to suggest. 🤷🏼
