Dustin Pelikan 2/28/2024 6:33 AMQuite a chilly February day today. Stay warm out there and use wool not synthetic fibers to help mother nature.-
Dustin Pelikan 3/01/2024 6:37 AMAlpaca is better! -
Josh Gruber 2/28/2024 7:14 AMI've said it before, and I'll say it again. Merino wool socks have changed my life.

Dustin Pelikan 2/27/2024 6:43 AMNoticed last night that the vegetarian meat options in whole foods all come with sustainable packaging (usually cardboard based) so instead of buying regular Italian spicy sausage I bought Impossible Italian spicy sausage - one less single use Styrofoam container saved!-
Krina Damien 2/27/2024 1:22 PMI love that! I find it so frustrating when organic and/or plant-based foods come in plastic packaging.

Dustin Pelikan 2/26/2024 6:35 AMAnother oddly warm day for Feb, but I'll take it as an opportunity to take a walk outside and pick up plastics.-
H McCrillis 2/27/2024 1:31 PMBasically what I’ve been doing all day whilst running other chores around town. Pretty sure I’ve picked up at least 50 pieces of waste so far.

Dustin Pelikan 2/24/2024 7:59 AMA shout out to Alaina from waste wise. She is coming to my condo building to do an educational info session to all the residents and help us with some grants. You too can reach out to waste wise and check out their site. -
Dustin Pelikan 2/23/2024 7:10 AMWay to go Niron Team! keep up the good work. -
Dustin Pelikan 2/22/2024 11:19 AMThis is a good one. https://www.theonion.com/what-you-need-to-know-about-microplastics-1851279138-
Krina Damien 2/22/2024 6:49 PMThis is inspiring. I think it would be easier to teach fish to recycle than some of the people we know 🤪🤣

Dustin Pelikan 2/21/2024 7:51 AMlast night I went to Red Rabbit, and we had leftovers, and we asked for non-plastic containers, surprisingly they did have that option but only if you ask for it. So just a reminder to ask your server for plastic-free containers.-
H McCrillis 2/22/2024 4:31 AMShall do! I should probably dine at a Red Rabbit sometime.

REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care Purchase Alternative ToothpasteCurrently, most of the packaging for toothpaste is plastic. What has been your experience using plastic-free toothpaste options? How can you advocate for more alternatives through your purchasing power and influence in community?
Dustin Pelikan 2/20/2024 7:28 AMI'm going to try the Bite brand that uses glass jars and paper refill cartridges. Bite Toothpaste Bits.
