  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
How do you feel about being more involved in the food preparation process? Joyful, overwhelmed, engaged, empowered? What are the benefits of choosing to process or produce your own food instead of buying it pre-processed?

Made homemade granola. My kids eat it plain as a snack, I eat it with yogurt. Like most homemade items, it's delicious and totally customizable - just make sure the dry and wet ingredient ratios stand.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    At Home
How difficult (or easy!) has it been for you to cut dryer sheets from your laundry routine?

Pretty easy, while things do stick together, there's nothing like that smell of ozone as you pull them apart! Better yet, fold your laundry in the dark and make your own light show.

Some folks use wool balls for the dryer. I just don't use anything and find nothing is needed. It's just some static electricity. Ditched the dryer sheets decades ago as all they are is plastic and chemicals.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    On-the-go
Does your workplace have a good recycling program? What could be improved?

There are recycling containers on our floor. Minneapolis is a decent location for pushing merchants to use cardboard instead of plastic.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    On-the-go
What has been the easiest thing about using reusables at work, and what has been the hardest? Have you convinced any of your colleagues to join you in using reusables?

Easiest is my work location provides a sink and washing liquid. Hardest is we can't store anything at work, so all our personal items have to fit in our backpack.

I end up carrying a little kit of reusable utensils, cloth napkin and water bottle every day.
