  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Personal Care
Flossing is a hard habit to maintain for a lot of people! Does making your flossing routine more sustainable give you motivation to keep up this notoriously difficult habit?

I've never really struggled with flossing because I understand how important it is for gum health, but I do think making it more sustainable makes the habit feel more worthwhile. Knowing that it benefits both my oral health and the environment gives me extra motivation to keep up with it.

How have you modified your cleaning routine to make sure you aren't using disposable wipes? Are you satisfied with the results?

I've modified my cleaning routine to make sure I'm not using disposable wipes by using different reusable cloths for certain areas I'm cleaning like the bathroom vs my room.

How difficult (or easy!) has it been for you to cut dryer sheets from your laundry routine?

Very easy, I usually skip dryer sheets any way and use wool balls.

How do you tackle hang drying clothes during cold winter months?

    Mia Wong's avatar
    Mia Wong 2/02/2026 3:16 PM
By spacing out clothes on a drying rack in a well ventilated room helps ensure airflow.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
Why do you think these products have so much plastic packaging? Who is the plastic packaging really serving -- the consumer, the producer, or someone else?

    Mia Wong's avatar
    Mia Wong 2/02/2026 3:13 PM
I think these products have plastic packaging to extend freshness and helps food be transported. I believe the plastic is really serving the producer because plastic is the cheap, effective way to protect goods from factory to shelf.

What kinds of items have been easy for you to find used? What has been hard?

Thrifted clothes and reusing glass jars has been easy for me to find used. I find that wool or silk is harder to find used.
