It's been really fun learning more plastic waste and often plastic is being used. With this plastic challenge, I've become aware of the amount of plastic that are everywhere. Small plastic usage that are used in our food and plastic that is used to secure our medicine that we purchase. With the flu season, opening up one medicine bottle contains so much plastic. When purchasing food items, everything is wrapped in plastic.

It's interesting going shopping now and exploring the package groceries and how much plastic is being used. It's normal to use a bag for fruits and vegetables and almost everything comes in plastic. I feel avoiding it is nearly impossible.

Swapping snacks for fresh fruit is overall much healthier and a better choice. I notice I need more time to prep the food, but overall more beneficial and healthier.

I get to save money and I know what I am consuming. I've also became more conscious about waste and plastics because everything is prepackaged and plastic is everywhere.

One thing I'm going to implement is utilizing more heavy duty water bottles and water stations. I drink a ton of water and realized I can reduce my plastic bottle usage if I use a personal water bottle instead.

I have seen more conscious awareness in straw usage and different alternatives. However, there's been complaints about eco-friendly alternatives and there is a need for more research on what can we do as alternative plastic usages.

How can you be an advocate for using resusables instead of disposables for the rest of your community? Where are they currently dependent on disposable cutlery, and how can you convince them of the need for change?

Billions of cutlery is in landfill every year. Disposable cutlery has many impacts on plastic toxic, the environment and overall unsustainable.

If one person can use reusable utensils, it could prevent thousands from entering the land fill.
