Our food coop has compostable produce bags and so I use those when available. However, most of the time I don't use bags for produce at all. In the bulk department I chose paper pags over plastice when I can.

My wife and I always decline straws at restaurants and elsewhwere, and we don't use them at home. So I feel that we never avoid straws because they are never a possibility.

I rarely use disposable cup. I keep a travel mug in my car to use at coffee shops for to-go drinks. And I kfavor coffee shops that have reusable cups mugs for in-store consumption.
