I'm remodeling my kitchen. Tore down to studs. House is 115 years old, no insulation... Just insulated the walls and around the windows!

Finally we have some nice weather. I hope it continues. I've been finding lot of ways to lower my families footprint since we've started and it feels good to be able to contribute to cleaning up our environment one step at a time. 😃

I made a laundry stain spray; and I am using a vinegar soak on synthetic work out clothing.

This new tool does help bring reduction to mind even more often!

How have you modified your cleaning routine to make sure you aren't using disposable wipes? Are you satisfied with the results?

Attended a print making art class where wipes were needed for clean up... talked to the class leaders about options for the future that could be cloth/washed in the future. The class provider does do this for pottery classes already!

Slowly but surely I'm replacing my plastic with glass and silicon.

What might you do differently since learning about bio-based, biodegradable and compostable plastic?

I now understand the difference between the three kinds of plastics, and now understand that biodegradable plastic and plant-based plastics are not necessarily compostable unless they explicitly say compostable. So I can feel more confident how to correctly dispose of each.

Besides having access to fresh herbs and vegetables, what benefits will you see from growing your own garden?

My garden can improve the soil, so my edible plants are even healthier. Some of these plants will provide food for pollinators, and being outdoors is good for my physical and mental health.

I am shopping for natural fibers off of a wedding registry. This is a wonderful option to pursue!

How does the wedding registry help you? Is it that the bride and groom have selected natural fibers? How does that work?
