My lunch is much healthier than it would be if I ate out. I was able to pack in a high protein meal with lots of vegetables.

I avoided using produce bags at the grocery store and purchased meat that was not packaged in harmful plastics

The Plastic Problem. The most interesting thing I learned from the documentary were the new sciences and technologies sprouting up to combat plastic waste such as developing plastic consuming bacteria, new compostable plastic alternatives, and innovative uses for existing plastics.

Search out biodegradable plastic alternatives to common single use plastics. Continue to utilize compost receptacles for compostable labelled cups and containers at work. Encourage coworkers to do the same if I see them put compostable materials into garbage or recycling bins.

Less than 10% of plastics are recycled. Toothpaste can contain microplastics. Reflecting on usage in a week, and seeing the calculator convert into a years was eye opening!

I made lunch for the week and weighed portions into glass containers which then get washed weekly.

I purchased non toxic cleaning concentrate and used a glass spray bottle to avoid using new plastic containers. Once this runs out I will try one of the recipes listed in this challenge!
