I remembered to bring a container for leftovers to the Muni where I had lunch today and I also had an extra one to give to my dining companion. The Muni is making a shift to compostable leftover containers. I asked. They just haven’t used all the old ones up yet. They said people are asking for changes. Way to go!

Traveling can be complicated - finding place to fill a bottle is not always easy. i manage this well in the US. When traveling internationally, it gets challenging when you are not sure of the water quality.

I grow lots of my own vegetables and freeze the extra to eat all winter. I don’t know of a good alternative to plastic freezer bags, but I do reuse them as long as possible

New project at our church for RIDWELL and deposited a bag full of crinkly plastic. Also 2 bags of compost to Lunds Byerly's compost bin at Ridgedale.

We have our own Ridwell service. I fed it today with a burned out lightbulb. Not plastic, but we regularly use it for newspaper bags, food bags etc.

Buying in bulk is not hard. my cats don't see to mind. The store is a bit off my regular route so I have to be more playful to get here. Altho I must say plastic cat litter bins are very useful for storing organics in the house, storing water from the tin barrel over the winter, hauling mulch, etc.

On the first day of the challenge, I used a ceramic cup at Panera that is INTENDED for coffee drinkers. I used for water, though the expectation is water drinkers should use plastic cups. I explained my intention to the cashier, and she said she is trying to take similar actions. Ditched my plastic water bottle for a steel one.

This challenge is making me so much more aware of the amount of plastic used in groceries and take out.
